Online limits describe the quoting route. They are not a guarantee that every shape inside those limits can be machined.
Processes in the shop
KRC combines CNC milling and turning with an online workflow for supported parts. The shop’s equipment includes Haas VF-series mills and an Okuma lathe. Part orientation, clamping space, tool reach, stock availability, and feature access determine the actual process plan. Machine travel is not the same as usable part capacity.
Published online scope
The CNC quote accepts STEP/STP with one solid body and an optional PDF drawing. The current online size limit is 14 inches in each bounding dimension, and online quantities run from 1 through 20. Tolerance selections extend from the standard ±0.005 inch down to ±0.001 inch where accepted by the workflow. Tighter requirements use custom RFQ.
Material selection
Current CNC options include 6061 and 7075 aluminum, 1018 steel, 4140 prehardened steel, 304 stainless, acetal, UHMW, and nylon. Grade and stock condition matter. Brass, copper, and unlisted plastics have guide pages but use the custom RFQ route rather than implying an online stocked option.
What controls acceptance
A model must have reachable geometry and a feasible workholding plan. A deep cavity with tiny corner radii is different from an open cavity of the same overall size. Special finishing, inspection documentation, certification, and assembly requirements belong in the RFQ scope and are not automatically included in a base online price.
